Professional Performance Recordings for Serious Young Musicians

Manheimer Performance Recording Days give student musicians a polished, low-stress way to create professional performance videos with excellent sound, elegant visuals, and a calm recording experience.

These sessions are designed for students preparing college arts supplements, audition videos, conservatory prescreens, competitions, summer program applications, scholarships, and personal milestone recordings.

Most students preparing audition or arts supplement recordings need to capture two contrasting pieces. The standard session is designed with that in mind.

Upcoming Recording Day: Saturday, August 29, 2026

This recording day is best for:

  • Early Action / Early Decision arts supplements

  • Fall audition preparation

  • Students who want recordings completed before the school year becomes busy

  • Students who want time to review recordings with a teacher before submitting

Typical deadlines served:

  • Early college arts supplement deadlines, often in early November

  • Fall audition and application deadlines

  • Early prescreen or portfolio preparation

Additional recording dates may be added if this day fills.

Why Record Early?

Application and audition deadlines arrive quickly, and every school or program has its own requirements.

Recording well ahead of the deadline gives students time to:

  • Review recordings with a teacher

  • Confirm school-specific submission requirements

  • Handle file uploads calmly

  • Address unexpected issues

  • Avoid last-minute pressure

  • Re-record if absolutely necessary

For the smoothest process, students should aim to record:

  • 6–8 weeks before major college arts supplement deadlines

  • 6–8 weeks before music school prescreen deadlines

  • 4–6 weeks before summer program, scholarship, or competition deadlines

Simple rule: Record early. Submit calmly.

Performance Recording Days are designed for:
  • College arts supplements for non-music majors

  • Early Action / Early Decision applications

  • Regular Decision applications

  • Music-major and conservatory prescreens

  • Summer program applications

  • Scholarship and competition submissions

  • Serious student recordings

  • Teacher studio projects

  • Personal keepsake performances
